Contractor Question:

“I’m looking for opinions and ideas on radio in Atlanta, GA.

We have the options to do monthly commercials or have the radio personalities represent our company for an additional cost and speak on our behalf. One of the personalities needs some HVAC work done and would then speak about his experience with us and so on. What are others experience with this?”

Contractor University Expert Response:

“When considering media channels, it’s essential to adopt an omni-channel approach that blends art and science. Radio, as a frequency medium, excels at repeating messages to reach listeners multiple times. However, its effectiveness depends on various factors, such as audience demographics, creative messaging, timing, brand objectives, and call-to-action strategies.

In larger markets, like metro Atlanta, radio can be both expensive and extensive in reach, making it a valuable component of an integrated marketing strategy. It’s crucial to assess data from radio stations and compare it with other platforms like on-line radio, Spotify, or Pandora to determine the best fit for your campaign.

Successful media strategies focus on storytelling and unique selling propositions. For example, a compelling narrative about improving energy efficiency in homes can differentiate your brand and resonate with consumers. Ultimately, combining radio with other media channels while maintaining a clear brand promise will enhance your marketing effectiveness.”
