In the June 2023 Snapshot Survey, we asked contractors about their approach to running marketing promotions throughout the year. Here’s one survey question and its results from the “Running Marketing Promotions” summary report, which will be available in its entirety to EGIA members on 7/28/23.

Marketing plays a crucial role in the success of HVAC contractors, enabling them to attract customers, generate leads, and drive business growth. When asked in our recent survey if they have ever run marketing promotions, a significant majority of contractors (85%) indicated that they have experience in running marketing promotions for their business, while a smaller portion (15%) have not yet engaged in such initiatives. This suggests that the majority of contractors recognize the value of promoting their services and products to attract customers, generate leads, and ultimately drive business growth. Additionally, the 15% of contractors who have not yet run marketing promotions may benefit from understanding the potential advantages and opportunities that marketing promotions can offer, encouraging them to explore and implement such strategies in their business operations.

Here’s what an HVAC contractor from California said in the survey:

“We operate from a word of mouth standpoint and use social media marketing to engage with existing customers.”
